I took Molly up to Oregon on a really quick trip. My uncle Paul passed away after a valiant battle with cancer. It meant a lot to me to be able to attend his funeral. I was able to visit with a lot of my relatives and enjoyed talking about all the special memories we have of our loved friend. I was also able to see my sister and her family who moved back from Missouri this past summer and my younger brother who returned home from his mission in September. It was a really nice trip.
My best friend from high school got married! It was a lot of fun to go and see her and her family. Also our running coach and his family were there. I usually try to visit him when I go up to Oregon, but it has been over a year since I've had enough time on any of my trips- so it was great to see his whole family. Jeane went on to run at Stanford where she met Carlos who played baseball there. He now plays for the Chicago White Sox, so it was pretty cool to meet him and some other baseball players.
